Terms of Use for Music Submission to AAIM

By submitting your music to the Academy of Artificial Intelligence in Music (AAIM), you agree to the following terms and conditions:

  1. Ownership and Rights:
  • By submitting your music, you grant AAIM a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, and worldwide license to use, reproduce, distribute, publicly display, and perform your music for educational, promotional, and research purposes.
  • You represent and warrant that you own or have obtained all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to grant the above license to AAIM and that your music does not infringe upon the intellectual property rights or any other rights of any third party.
  1. Credit and Attribution:
  • AAIM agrees to provide full credit to you as the creator of the music whenever your music is used, displayed, or performed.
  • You acknowledge and agree that AAIM may use your name, likeness, and biographical information in connection with the use of your music for promotional purposes.
  1. Responsibility and Liability:
  • You acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for the content and legality of the music you submit to AAIM.
  • AAIM shall not be responsible for any loss, damage, or liability arising out of or in connection with the use of your music, including but not limited to any claims of infringement, defamation, or violation of rights of publicity or privacy.
  1. Indemnification:
  • You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AAIM, its affiliates, partners, officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors from and against any and all claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or in connection with your breach of these terms or the use of your music by AAIM.
  1. Modification and Termination:
  • AAIM reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate your access to the music submission service at any time without prior notice and for any reason, including but not limited to your violation of these terms.
  1. Governing Law and Jurisdiction:
  • These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Jurisdiction]. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms shall be exclusively resolved by the courts located in [Jurisdiction].
  1. Entire Agreement:
  • These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and AAIM regarding the submission of music and supersede all prior or contemporaneous understandings and agreements, whether oral or written.
  1. Severability:
  • If any provision of these terms is determined to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.

By submitting your music to AAIM, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, do not submit your music to AAIM.
